Kattakada depot violence: KSRTC suspends four employees

Thiruvananthapuram: KSRTC suspended four employees pending inquiry for thrashing a man who arrived at Kattakada depot seeking travel concession card for his daughter on Tuesday, informed transport minister Antony Raju on a Facebook post.

KSRTC Aryanad unit station master A Muhammad Shareef, Kattakada depot duty guard SR Suresh Kumar, conductor N Anilkumar, assistant Milan Dorich faced the action which was recorded by the onlookers.

Earlier, Antony Raju had sought a report from the corporation MD on the matter. Minister said the probe report will be ready in 45 days. Kerala HC has also sought a report from the MD.

Premanan, the victim, said that he was thrashed by the employees and the they locked him up in the office for 15 minutes. His daughter was also with him at the moment. The matter escalated when Premanan questioned the delay in permitting the concession card.
