Kathiroor Manoj murder case: HC grants bail to 15 accused
Kochi: The High Court granted bail to 15 accused in Kathiroor Manoj murder case. The Single Bench granted bail but with strict conditions including non-entry to Kannur district. The accused have been in prison for five years after being charged with UAPA.
RSS leader Kathiroor Manoj was murdered on September 1, 2014. The CBI took over the investigation on October 28, 2014. Former CPM Kannur district secretary P Jayarajan also is an accused in the case.
P Jayarajan and others were named accused in the conspiracy case in a report submitted on August 29, 2017. The high court division bench had earlier rejected a petition filed by P Jayarajan and others against the central government for granting permission to the CBI for charging UAPA case.
