Kasaragod woman dies by suicide after killing 28-yr-old endosulfan-affected daughter

Kasaragod: In a tragic incident, a woman at Chamundi near Rajapuram here on Monday reportedly ended her life after killing her endosulfan-affected daughter.

The deceased have been identified as Vimalakumari (58) and Reshma (28). Vimalakumari’s daughter-in-law found the duo dead around 4:00 PM on Monday.

Vimalakumari is a cooking staff at a school here. She was found hanging behind the house, while her daughter Reshma was found dead inside a bedroom in the house.

The marks on Reshma’s body hint that she was strangled to death.

According to the relatives, Reshma had some mental issues.

Rajapuram police visited the crime scene. Further details are awaited.
