Kasaragod gangrape: Two more, including woman, arrested

Kasaragod: The Kasaragod police arrested two more people, including a woman, in connection with the gangrape of a 19-year-old girl in Kasaragod. The accused have been identified as Jasmine (22) and Abdul Sattar alias Jamshi (31), natives of Kasaragod.

With this, the police have arrested a total of five people in connection with the incident.

According to the police, Jasmine is part of a network that brings women from various places and hands them over to customers.

The police have registered six cases so far. Of which, five are investigated by the Kasaragod Women Cell and one is led by Kasaragod DySP.

The police had earlier arrested J Shinith Kumar (30), N Prasanth (43) and Mokshit Shetty (27) in connection with the case.
