Kasaragod double murder: Kannur native in custody for assisting Peethambaran
Kasaragod: One more person has been taken into custody in connection with the twin murder of Youth Congress activists in Kasaragod. It is reported that Kannur Alakode native is in custody.
Youth Congress activists Kripesh and Sarath Lal were killed on Sunday. CPM Periya local area committee member Peethambaran was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the case. As per reports he has confessed the crime. Seven CPM workers are also in custody. They are being interrogated.
Peethambaran has given the statement that he committed the crime out of revenge and disappointment. He has been ousted from the primary membership of the party.
It is said in the statement that accused attacked the duo with iron rod and machete. Kripesh’s body was found with grave injury on brain. Peethambaran stated that he hacked Kripesh on head.
