Kannur: In a bizarre incident, a youth, allegedly belonging to RSS, in Panoor here destroyed the flag of Portugal after mistaking it to be that of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI).
The youth, identified as Deepak Elangad, tore the flag that had been placed in the area by fans of the Portugal national football team ahead of the World Cup.
Following this, a fight ensued between Deepak and Portugal fans in the area. Police have booked him.
