Visuals of the vehicle stunt
Kannur: A group of students at Mambaram here on Thursday staged a risky vehicle stunt. The incident came to light after visuals of the same emerged on social media. The incident happened during noon hours near the ground close to Mambaram bridge.
In the visuals, the packed students were heading in a speeding open jeep. In the later part, it can be seen that students are being tossed away from the jeep when the driver suddenly hit the brake.
Reports said the students are from Mambaram English Medium School, which lies 3 km away from the spot. It is learnt that the vehicle stunt was part of an out-of-hand celebration ahead of Christmas vacation. Police reportedly took a Class 12 student and the vehicle into custody.
Officials made it clear that a case will be registered over the matter. Details including whether the student who drove the vehicle possesses a driving license and registration and ownership of the vehicle are being examined.
