Malappuram: Police took a man into custody for allegedly attempting to sexually assault a woman in a moving bus in Valancherry here on Monday. Valancherry Police took Kannur native Shamsudheen into custody based on a complaint filed by the woman.
The incident happened on board a KSRTC bus plying between Kanhangad and Pathanamthitta. The complainant alleged that a co-passenger misbehaved with her, forcing her to inform the police.
The incident happened when the bus reached Valancherry in the wee hours. More details awaited.
