CPM worker hacked to death in Thalassery

CPM alleged that RSS  activists were behind the murder. A hartal is declared in New Mahi and Thalassery. 

Thalassery: A CPM worker was hacked to death at Punnol here on the wee hours of Monday. The deceased has been identified as Kuniyil Haridasan (54).

The murder took place around 1:30 am while Haridasan, a fisherman, was returning home from work at night. Haridasan was an active member of the CPM. It is reported that a group of people attacked him in front of his house. One of his legs was found chopped, and multiple stab wounds were found on his body.

CPM alleged that RSS activists were behind the murder. A hartal is declared in New Mahe and Thalassery.

Though the locals rushed him to Thalassery Co-operative Hospital, he was pronounced dead there. The body was later shifted to Pariyaram Medical College. Police have identified four people who arrived on the bike as prime suspects.
