Kannur Airport: Ticket booking to start on Monday

Kannur: The Air India Express has got approval to service on commercial grounds at Kannur International Airport from December 9. The director general of civil aviation briefed the details regarding this on Friday. But the copy of the order will be received on Monday so the ticket booking will start only then.

The online ticket booking will begin on Monday after the ticket rates are decided. The ticket fares will be decided as per the conditions of KIAL and charges as per the order issued by DGCA.

As of now, only one aircraft of Air India Express will be conducting service from Kannur Airport. It will arrive on December 8 from Thiruvananthapuram. The first service is scheduled on December 9 at 10 am.

The Air India Express which is leaving for Abu Dhabi at 10 am will return at 7 pm and leave for Riyadh at 9.05 pm and return by early morning.

The services to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Doha will be available 4 days in a week while to Riyadh and Muscat, it will be 3 days. There won’t be services to Dubai for now.
