Thiruvananthapuram: CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran said that some people’s thinking that they can fight communalism single-handedly is utter nonsense. He added that CPI does not support the foreign communist parties blindly.
Kanam was speaking at the CPI conference at Kollam. His speech is a response to the pro-China speeches by the CPM leaders.
We accept the fact that China is moving forward in the financial sector. But it is not acceptable to ask the communists here to change similar to the Communist Party in China, Kanam said in Kollam.
Earlier, CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and later chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan had spoken in support of China.
