Kozhikode: Minister PA Mohammed Riyas reacted to the controversy that erupted over the welcome song at Kerala State School Kalolsavam 2023. He said that efforts are being made in the country to consciously portray a particular religious group as terrorists, which could not be tolerated.

The minister assured to examine the Sangh Parivar connections of the person who was entrusted with the charge of welcome song.

The state government will examine if any attempts were made to deliberately trigger clashes among the communities or diminish the popularity of Kalolsavam, said the minister.

Allegations of anti-Islamic lyrics were raised against the welcome song presented during the inaugural ceremony of the Kerala State School Kalolsavam held on January 3 in Kozhikode.
