6 lakh students to go to school for the first time on November 1

Last year, 3,02,288 students joined class one. This year 3,05,414 students took admission in public schools. Considering the number of students in private schools, the total count of newcomers may mount up to 6.5 lakhs.

This year, there are 34,10,167 students in classes from one to 10 standards. Last year, it was 33,74,328 students. The number of students joining class one in public schools has risen. 28,482 more students joined class one this year. This has become the greatest jump in the number of students in the last two decades.
