Kadakampally Surendran attacks Sreedharan Pillai on Sabarimala issue
Thiruvananthapuram: Devaswom minister Kadakampally Surendran said that BJP state president P. S. Sreedharan Pillai is a shrewd lawyer. He also alleged that Sreedharan Pillai keeps demanding the Kerala government for an ordinance from the central government in the Sabarimala issue.
"The practice in Sabarimala till date was restricting women from entering the temple. With the court verdict, they cannot be stopped anymore. All facilities will be arranged for those who visit Sabarimala. The government also respects the belief of the devotees who disapprove the verdict in Sabarimala issue," said Kadakampally.
The response of the devotees is natural. Similar responses have come in the past too. No solution can be sought by showering verbal abuse on the government. People should have the wisdom to wait till the verdict on the review petition. The state government has not committed any mistake in the issue.
It is learnt that people who have close links with the RSS approached the court for the verdict. Kadakampally also alleged that RSS is seeking verdict after filing case in the court, then fielding the devotees against the same verdict and then attacking the temples in the name of protests.
