Kozhikode: CPM leader and former district mayor Thottathil Raveendran on Tuesday revealed that he was invited to BJP by party state president K Surendran.
Speaking to Mathrubhumi News, Raveendran said he responded to Surendran that he was a theist and communist. I have been a member of CPM for the past of 52 years. I can’t take any other stance, he added.
Surendran invited me considering my faith. But I can’t change like that one fine morning. Friendships and politics are different, Thottathil Raveendran further stated.
At the same time, Surendran denied Raveendran’s remark on inviting him to BJP. He said that he is meeting with many people but hadn’t invited Raveendran to BJP.
