K Sudhakaran takes charge as new KPCC president; promises to strengthen party
Thiruvananthapuram: Newly inducted KPCC president K Sudhakaran advised party cadres to work for the Congress and not eye positions. This would help the Congress party come back to power, he pointed out.
K Sudhakaran was addressing the party members after taking charge as the new KPCC chief at Indira Bhavan on Wednesday.
"UDF grabbed 19 seats out of 20 in the Lok Sabha polls. The LDF had managed to win only one seat. No one said at that time that LDF would be destroyed. In a democratic setup, all this is common. It is easy for the front to be back with vigour," said Sudhakaran and asked his cadres to expect a comeback.
He also wanted workers not to go behind authority or positions and work at the local level to induct more members into the fold. We will be able to bring the party back to power, he said.
Under the new leadership, the party will see more new discussions, developments and programmes. We should regain our strength for the coming parliament elections. That is a promise, he said.
