Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC President K Sudhakaran raised harsh criticism against those behind the murder of Twenty20 activist Deepu in Kizhakambalam. He said that a case must be registered against CPM MLA Sreenijan as the prime accused in the case for inciting the murder.
Sudhakaran said that CPM is a party with anti-Dalit policies.
‘Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's party that protected the ones who lynched and murdered tribal man Madhu has now killed another Dalit youth,’ he alleged. He also added KPCC would like to appeal to CPM to end the atrocities against Dalits.
'The ruling MLA insulted the mortal remains of Deepu saying that he died of Liver Cirrhosis. The post-mortem report reveals that the cause of death is a head injury. Murder politics cannot be accepted.' Sudhakaran said while expressing deep angst over the murder of Deepu while addressing a press conference here on Sunday.
He pointed out that the cultural leaders who refuse to react to this murder are observing a deplorable silence. He said that such people never react to injustice no matter what.
Dalits are a community that moves forward by fighting tough life situations. Sudhakaran also added that Indian National Congress is declaring its solidarity with the Dalit community for its fight against injustice.
