K Sudhakaran calls Vijayaraghavan a ‘communalist’, slams govt over ‘Narcotic Jihad’ row
Kannur: KPCC president K Sudhakaran has launched a scathing attack against CPM and LDF government over the controversies related to ‘Narcotic Jihad’. He also criticised CPM state secretary A Vijayaraghavan by calling him a communalist.
The KPCC president alleged that the LDF government has declared a war against religious heads by fielding Vijayaraghavan.
“By using leaders like Vijayaraghavan, the government is using the strategy of fielding Shikhandi in war. Vijayaraghavan is a communalist. A government should not fight against religious heads. The govenment should summon all for conciliatory talks,” he added.
Though the government has been claiming that they have settled the row, religious heads are repeating such remarks, he pointed out.
K Sudhakaran informed that Congress will summon a meeting of the religious heads as part of the efforts to settle the controversy.
“If the allegations of Pala Bishop over ‘Narcotic Jihad’ are found true, we will approach the government seeking a probe against it, “ he added.
