K Sudhakaran calls Sivankutty a goon; slams CM too
Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC President K Sudhakaran on Wednesday harshly criticised Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Education Minister V Sivankutty calling them goons. He was inaugurating a protest demanding resignation of Sivankutty over the assembly ruckus case. The Congress organised the protest in front of the harbour engineering office at Nemom here on Wednesday.
A ‘low-level goon’ has become the education minister of state and the chief minister, who is another Sivankutty, can accommodate him, he said.
Kerala cannot accept an indecent education minister, he said referring to actions of Sivankutty as an MLA during the Assembly ruckus incident.
The Chief Minister fears he will have to resign if the court verdict on Lavalin case is against him. That is why he protects Sivankutty, KPCC chief alleged.
Meanwhile, opposition leader VD Satheesan inaugurated another protest in front of the secretariat. Congress leaders Oommen Chandy, Ramesh Chennithala and MM Hassan inaugurated protests at Kazhakkoottam, Vattiyoorkkavu and Vizhinjam respectively. UDF organised protests in front of government offices in all 140 assembly constituencies.
