Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC President K Sudhakaran on Saturday levelled serious allegations against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and accused him of raiding state coffers.

“While Arikomban and Chakka Komaban (two rogue wild tuskers known for raiding vegetation and posing a threat to the population near forest fringes) were stealing rice and jackfruits from people, our CM was busy raiding our state coffers,” said Sudhakaran.

He cited a purported social media meme that compared Pinarayi’s acts to that of Arikomban and Chakka Komaban, and said that "it is no joke, but a reality".'

His remarks came during UDF’s secretariat siege on the occasion of the second anniversary of the LDF government in the state.

Sudhakaran also warned the regime that all the UDF protests need not be necessarily peaceful. “We shall not always remain the ambassadors of peace, our protests will take a violent turn if the situation demands so,” Sudhakaran said.
