Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stated that Kerala Fibre Optic Network Project (K-FON) project will be implemented in the state irrespective of what happens. He said that he wants to tell all those trying to destroy the project, the government will implement it and will make internet accessible to the public at a low cost.

He also said that if someone suspects that investigation agencies are being used to malign the image of the government, they cannot be blamed. The attempt to examine K-FON project is a part of this play. There are attempts to destroy every project that would benefit the public.

Kerala is the first state in the country that has declared internet as a human right. This project was designed by the government with the intention of making the internet accessible to the public at a low rate. Certain people are trying to impede the government’s activities using investigation agencies, he added.
