JP Nadda arrives in Kerala to prep BJP for upcoming Assembly election

Thiruvananthapuram: BJP national president JP Nadda on Wednesday arrived in Kerala to kick start the preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections. BJP leaders assembled at the airport here and welcomed him.

Nadda arrived at 12.45 pm. Later in the day, he will take part in the BJP core committee meeting being held at a private hotel here. Nadda will inform the BJP state leadership the instructions from the national leadership regarding the preparations to be carried out ahead of the election.

BJP state president K Surendran has been entrusted with the responsibility of forming the election committee. Though the decision on candidates is unlikely in today’s meeting, a clear picture regarding the candidature of key leaders is expected.

It is also reported that, at the function to be held in the evening, Nadda will offer membership to many new faces in the party including actor Krishnakumar. He will also take part in the public meeting to be held in Thrissur on Thursday.
