IV Babu
Kozhikode: Journalist and writer Dr. IV Babu (54) passed away. He was undergoing treatment for jaundice at a private hospital here.

He has worked as Asst. editor of ‘Malayalam Varika’, Deputy Editor of ‘Mangalam’ and Assistant editor of ‘Deshabhimani’ newspaper and weekly. He has written and translated several books in his career.

He also served as a member of UG Board of Studies in Journalism in Calicut University.

Born in 1965 near Mokeri in Thalasserry, IV Babu was the son of IV Das, who was a member of CPM state committee and former editor of Deshabhimani weekly, and Susheela.
