The opposition leader pointed out that it is the responsibility of allies to accept the decisions of the leadership.

Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala said that Kerala Congress (M) Jose K Mani faction can return to UDF if they accept the agreement with UDF.

He said that the news that they were ousted from UDF is not correct that it was taken based on the decision taken by the UDF leadership. Chennithala was speaking to the media after a UDF meeting.

He said that Kerala Congress (M) Jose K Mani faction will be invited to attend the meetings of UDF if they agree to the decision of UDF leadership. He pointed out that it is the responsibility of allies to accept the decisions of the leadership.

UDF tried to unite the two Kerala Congress factions by ending the differences between. But as it did not work out, UDF decided to accept them as two parties and informed them about the decision on Kottayam district panchayat president post. The UDF decided that Jose K Mani faction will hold the office for 8 months while the PJ Joseph faction will hold the office for 6 months.

UDF has been discussing the issue as the Mani faction did not step down from office even after completing their tenure. Although UDF asked them to resign, they acted as if the agreement did not exist. Following this, UDF decided to remove Jose K Mani faction, Ramesh Chennithala said.
