Thiruvananthapuram: Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan said that the incident in which students and teachers of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) were attacked by a masked gang, was part of a well-planned conspiracy.

The minister stated that the incident in JNU was an attempt to create the impression that riots take place on all campuses in the country. He further said there is no wonder in the allegations raised against ABVP.

Muraleedharan alleged that the Marxist party has the history of unleashing violence on campuses and then portraying the victims as criminals. He added that the incidents in JNU are results of a conspiracy.

He accused that all incidents in JNU resulted from the attempts of Left wing, extremist and congress supporting students to sabotage the normal functioning of the campus. He also made it clear that the criminals who unleashed violence will be penalized.
