Jishnu case: SC dismisses P Krishnadas plea for relaxation in bail condition
New Delhi: The Supreme Court of India today dismissed Nehru Group Chairman P Krishna Das plea seeking relaxation in his bail condition. The apex court refused to grant permission to visit Kerala.
The court observed that Krishna Das, accused in Jishnu Prannoy case, may influence the witnesses and mislead the case. The court asked him not to move from Coimbatore till the completion of hearing in Shafeer Shoukathali case.
Krishna Das has moved the Supreme Court seeking relaxation in his bail conditions and said that he needs to visit his ailing mother in Kerala. But the court identified that the medical certificate produced by him needs more clarity. He had produced medical certificate issued from the hospital owned by him.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court removed the references made by High Court on Jishnu Prannoy case. The state government has filed a petition regarding this in the Supreme Court.
The apex cour removed the references, including abetment to suicide. The court observed that the references were unnecessary.
