Thiruvananthapuram: In a major update to the Jesna missing case, a Poojappura jail inmate sentenced in a POCSO case revealed that a fellow inmate knows about Jesna’s disappearance. He has reportedly given a statement to the CBI in this regard.

The new revelation comes after five years since Jesna Maria James, a student of St Dominic College Kanjirappally, went missing. The case was initially investigated by the crime branch but was later handed over to the CBI.

No accurate information has been received about the case so far. However, as per the prisoner’s statement, his fellow inmate knows crucial information about Jesna’s disappearance.

The incident took place around four months ago. As per reports, the prisoner told the police that a Pathanamthitta native and an inmate of Kollam Jail knew about the case.

Following this, the CBI arrived at the Poojappura Jail and recorded the prisoner’s statement. Currently, the officials have begun efforts to find the Pathanamthitta native, who is apparently on the run.

Jesna Maria James, daughter of Kunnathuveetil James, a Kollamula native in Pathanamthitta went missing on March 22, 2018. The case had earlier made headlines following the claims by former Pathanamthitta SP KG Simon.
