Jaleel will not resign at any cost, MV Govindan declares CPM’s stand
Thiruvananthapuram: CPM national committee member MV Govindan declared that Jaleel would not resign from his post of minister. He noted that Jaleel is not booked in any case related to gold smuggling.
“He doesn’t need to resign. This is CPM’s stand. Jaleel will not resign following the demand of opposition or any others. Let the probe continue. There is nothing to conceal. NIA summoned him and he appeared before them. There is nothing wrong in it,” said the CPM leader.
He was addressing the media here on Thursday.
Union minister V Muraleedharan should be named as first accused in the gold smuggling case. Still, he continues to say that the gold smuggling has no links with the consulate, he added.
“Anil Nambiar is the second one who should be booked in the case. He had given advices to the accused. The case will not be settled until the probe team investigate these people,” said Govindan.
