Thiruvananthapuram: CPM State Secretariat evaluated that minister KT Jaleel need not resign. They also alleged that BJP and Congress were fielding goons in the protests and that violent attacks were organised intentionally. The state secretariat also stated that Jaleel opted to go for interrogation in a private vehicle for the sake of safety.

The state secretariat decided that the minister need not resign. He has not been accused of any crime and so the question of morality does not exist. CPM also decided to launch a massive campaign among the public on this matter.

The state secretariat and committee will be held on the 25th and 26th of this month. Decisions regarding the promotional campaign will be taken then.

The party secretariat observed that there were goons among the protestors. A police officer was injured during the protest the previous day. Only those who have received physical training can protest in such a manner. So the presence of a large number of goons is evident in the protests, it further evaluated.
