Jacob Thomas leave ends today
Thiruvananthapuram: On the direction of the government, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) director Jacob Thomas had gone on forced leave, and the leave period comes to an end today. Uncertainity still remains if Jacob Thomas plans to go on an extended leave or about his future plans.
Thomas had invited the wrath of the Pinarayi Govt as he had pursued cases involving former E P Jayarajan and other leaders. State police chief Loknath Behera has been given the additional charge of vigilance director. However, with the SC direction to reinstate former DGP T P Senkumar as Kerala police chief, Behera has been removed from the DGP post.
In these circumstances, it is likely that Jacob Thomas may extend his leave and Behera may be given permanent charge of Vigilance chief.
