Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader VD Satheesan has termed the ongoing rift between the Kerala governor Arif Mohammed Khan and the state government as mere drama. He also accused the governor and government of engaging in corruption together.
“When the governor is following the government’s commands, he will be promoted as a great personality. But when he refuses to do something illegal, he will be framed as a BJP-RSS spokesperson. Kerala is witnessing a constitutional crisis amid all these strange incidents,” said the opposition leader.
He also reiterated that there are mediators between the Chief Minister and the governor like CPM and BJP.
“ The opposition wants the governor to refrain from the Lok Ayukta amendment bill. University Laws Amendment bill and Kerala Cooperative Societies (Amendment) bill. These three bills are illegal, anti-constitutional and unethical,” pointed out Satheesan.
He also criticised the CPM leadership for showing intolerance towards Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi.
