Issues in BevQ app will be resolved within four hours, ensures Faircode
Thiruvannathapuram: Faircode Technologies, the company behind BevQ, Kerala’s newly-developed mobile app which will introduce a virtual queue system for liquor sale, said that the issues in the functioning of the app will be solved within four hours.
The main issue faced by many of the users is that the OTP was not delivered. Once OTP providers are brought in, the issue can be resolved, officials of the company ensured.
At present, the OTP service is handled only by one provider. The rush of people using the app is unmanageable for this service provider. Hence, all the registered customers are not obtaining OTP, Faircode explained.
If three or more OTP service providers are pooled in, the issue can be solved. Efforts are on, a decision will be arrived by evening today and the issue will be solved. The bookings for tomorrow will begin today evening, they said.
Liquor shops that were closed down as part of lockdown restrictions, opened on Thursday as the BevQ app became functional. Virtual queue process via app was arranged to ensure safety norms as part of COVID-19 prevention.
However, on the first day itself the app users faced many issues and the liquor sale was hit. For registered users, OTP is being received hours after the process. Moreover, the app provided to liquor outlets is not ready. In many stores, as the QR code couldn’t be scanned, liquor was provided over bills.
