Thiruvananthapuram: The PSC rank holders will start a hunger strike from Monday if the government fails to issue an order approving their demands. They also expressed hope that the government will meet their demands.

"On the other day, we discussed our demands with the government during a meeting. The authorities promised that the demands will be considered and asked us to call off the protest. But we can not withdraw the protest by believing their words. We are waiting for an official order tomorrow. If the government fails to issue an order by tomorrow evening, we will kick off a hunger strike," said rank holders representative Riju.

On Saturday, the government representatives had summoned Last Grade candidates and CPO rank holders for conciliatory talks. Home Department secretary TK Jose and ADGP Manoj Abraham led the meeting.
