ISRO espionage case: Kerala HC to hold special sitting on December 15

Kochi: The Kerala High Court will hold a special sitting to hear the bail plea of the accused in the ISRO espionage case. The accused approached the high court under the direction of the Supreme Court.

The apex court had directed the CBI that no action should be taken against the accused till the high court decision on the bail application.

The special sitting will be held on December 15. If the high court denies them bail, the CBI will take further action, including arresting the accused.

On December 2, the Supreme Court asked the high court to decide on the anticipatory bail application within four weeks.

The top court judgement was on the appeal filed by the CBI against the high court order granting bail to former Gujarat DGP RB Sreekumar, two former police officers of Kerala S Vijayan and Thampi S Durga Dutt, and a retired intelligence official PS Jayaprakash.
