ISRO espionage case: Justice Jain committee submits report in SC

The apex court formed the high level committee in September 2018 to probe into the conspiracy behind the ISRO espionage case.

New Delhi: The high level committee headed by Justice D K Jain submitted a report in the supreme court after completing the probe into the conspiracy behind the ISRO espionage case.

The report was submitted in a sealed cover. The apex court formed the high level committee in September 2018 to probe into the conspiracy behind the ISRO espionage case.

Former additional secretary in home ministry B K Prasad and former additional chief secretary in Kerala V S Senthil are part of the committee as the representatives of the central and state governments.

The committee had collected evidence in Thiruvananthapuram on December 14 and 15 in 2020. They also heard the arguments of scientist Nambi Narayanan, who was falsely accused in the case, regarding the case.

The prime minister had mentioned the ISRO espionage case in his speech delivered at Thiruvananthapuram the other day. He said that the career of scientist Nambi Narayanan ended due to the group based conflicts within Congress party.
