Isolated heavy rain likely in state till Sunday; fishing not allowed

Thiruvananthapuram: The meteorological department has predicted isolated heavy rain in some districts in the state till Sunday. Yellow alert has been issued in a few districts on different days.

A yellow alert has been sounded in Idukki on Thursday and in Malappuram on Friday. Also a yellow alert is issued in Idukki on Saturday and in Ernakulam on Sunday.

A gusty wind at a speed of 45-55 kilometer per hour is likely in the southwest Arabian Sea till Sunday.

As wind at a speed of 40-50 kmph is likely in Kerala coast, Lakshadweep area, southeast Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Mannar on Thursday, the fisherfolk have been directed not to venture into the sea in these areas.
