Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan doubted whether Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) was taking over the leadership of United Democratic Front (UDF).

Taking to Facebook, Pinarayi Vijayan asked if the Muslim League has become the centre that can express opinions regarding internal matters of Congress and decide who should lead party.

It is a strange situation in politics when one ally is directing who should be the leader of another ally in the front, said Pinarayi Vijayan.

Public statements from Congress and IUML clarify that the Muslim League has been able to make the Congress in Kerala agree to an alliance with religious and communal outfits, despite objections from Congress’ national leadership.

Following discussions over the alliance between Congress and communal outfits such as Jamaat-e-Islami, there is a demand to change KPCC president. The Congress has become so weak that they cannot even decide their own leader.

The Congress’ shamelessness to do anything to get votes has brought them to this situation. UDF has become insignificant. Nothing more can be expected from them, the CM added.
