IS links: Accused brought to Kochi from Mumbai
Mumbai: The investigating team probing the case pertaining to IS connection of missing Keralites, has brought the two accused nabbed in the case, to Kochi on Sunday.
The accused were nabbed from Mumbai in a joint operation conducted by Kerala police and Anti-Terrorist Squad of Maharashtra police.
Arshid Qureshi and Rizwan Khan have been brought to Kochi for detailed questioning and gathering of evidence. The accused will be in the custody of Kerala police till Monday.
Qureshi works as a PRO at the Islamic Research Centre of Zakir Naik.
Rizwan Khan was taken into custody in a raid conducted following the statement given by Qureshi.
It is said that the missing Keralites went to Mumbai several times and had met Qureshi. Qureshi is said to have taken religious classes to the Keralites.
However, the investigating team is not ready to reveal more information in this regard.
