Kochi: The National Investigation Agency has found that the person spreading terrorist organization Islamic State’s views in Kerala on social media is a Keralite.
The probe team has found that Abdul Rasheed, a native of Trikaripur in Kasaragod, is handling the social media groups of Islamic State.
The help of Interpol to nab Abdul Rasheed has been sought.
Kasaragod native Haris had filed a complaint to the police the other day saying he was included in the WhatsApp group 'Message to Kerala' without his permission and that he has been receiving terror messages.
The voice messages received from the group have been sent for forensic examination.
The WhatsApp group has been formed from an Afghanistan number. The name of the group admin is Easa.
The probe team is investigating whether this is the same Easa who went missing from Palakkad.
