Thiruvananthapuram: Congress veteran and KPCC chief K Sudhakaran on Monday targeted chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan over his alleged disrespect towards Sree Narayana Guru at the inauguration of an indoor stadium at Kannur SN College.

During the recitation of the Sree Narayana Guru hymn at the event, CM did not stand up. The visuals of the event revealed that he also signalled Congress (Secular) MLA Kadannappalli Ramachandran not to stand up.

According to Sudhakaran CM’s act was irreverence towards Sree Narayana Guru. The KPCC Chief has demanded a public apology from CM over the matter.

He also took the opportunity to criticise CPM and alleged that the party’s words and deeds contradict each other.
