Kalamassery: Kalamassery police arrested a youth for abusing a female bus passenger who is a minor. The student was travelling from Edappally back home.
Kannur native Fasil (22), who is earlier involved in snatching, robbery cases in various stations, has been arrested. An amount of Rs 33000, three mobile phones and 3 gram of cannabis was seized from him.
The accused, who was on his way to Wayanad from Kollam, was talking to a fellow passenger tactfully and stole Rs 48,000 and a mobile phone from the bus. He escaped as soon as the bus reached Aroor. He then boarded another bus in which the girl was travelling and harassed her. He was nabbed by the police and was produced in court and remanded later.
