Police investigation reveals that the six-member gang, including Monish, was staying at a hideout in Thiruvananthapuram for almost a month. The gang from Uttar Pradesh arrived at Thiruvananthapuram on July 24. Monish and the woman were living in a rented house in Vanchiyoor. The gang, parading as cloth sellers, would roam around the city going to houses one after another and later rob unoccupied houses. The police suspect that they are behind the thefts that took place in the city recently.

The police had conducted a raid at Monish’s rented house yesterday. The gang is on the run.
