Kollam: Minister of State for External Affairs and the only Union minister from BJP in Kerala, V Muraleedharan, criticized the Kerala Police on Saturday for the alleged leak of an intelligence report related to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the state.
Muraleedharan stated that the leak of the ADGP's intelligence report is a serious security lapse and urged for an investigation into the matter. He also pointed out that the report has been circulating on WhatsApp. Muraleedharan called for Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan to respond to the issue, noting that Vijayan is in charge of the Home Department.
Muraleedharan also cited Kozhikode train arson to criticise the police force.
Earlier, the Kerala BJP state president K Surendran also claimed that a report prepared on the security measures to be taken by the top Intelligence officials of the Kerala Police has been leaked.
Neither the home ministry nor Kerala Police has commented on the alleged leak.
