Kozhikode: Kerala BJP Chief K Surendran targeted Kerala Ports Minister Ahamed Devarkovil in the wake of union government’s ban on PFI and related outfits.

Devarkovil is the state president of Indian National League (INL) and according to Surendran, INL has links with Rehab India Foundation (RIF), one of the PFI associate organizations that was banned.

Surendran wants the minister to be out of the cabinet and sought the response of Chief Minister over the matter.

Meanwhile, INL leader Kasim Irikkur responded to Surendran’s allegation. He termed Surendran’s allegation as “utter nonsense” and claimed that INL has no links to RIF. He explained on RIF was formed and how INL distanced from it. He pointed out that Devarkovil has never worked with RIF.

“I don’t know the interest behind Surendran’s allegation,” he added.
