Injured 3-yr-old boy in critical condition; Murder attempt charged against parents
Aluva: In connection with the incident in which a three-year-old boy was hospitalised with serious head injuries here, a case for murder attempt was charged against the parents of the child.
Police have taken into custody the parents of the child who hail from Jharkhand. The family came to Kerala only 10 days ago. Kerala police have contacted Jainagar police of Jharkhand for further investigation.
The surgery of a migrant worker’s child, who was admitted to a private hospital here with injuries, has been complete. Doctors confirmed that the child’s condition remains critical and the boy is not responding to medicines. Brain haemorrhage has not stopped yet and the child is in ventilator.
The three-year-old boy who sustained injuries on head under suspicious circumstances was hospitalised on Wednesday. The parents brought the child to hospital claiming he fell off a building.
When the hospital authorities found burn injuries besides the wounds, they informed the police and the Childline. Shortly after the child was brought to the hospital, the parents had demanded to shift him from there. However, the hospital authorities refused to shift the child who was on ventilator.
