Leaked WhatsApp chat, VP Dulkhifil
Kozhikode: Police sent notice to Youth Congress state secretary V P Dulkhifil in connection with the protest staged by Congress activists against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan onboard IndiGo flight. Dulkhifil was directed to appear for interrogation in Thiruvananthapuram on August 13.
Congress activists had allegedly plotted the protest in a WhatsApp group. Police had quizzed Youth Congress state vice president Sabarinadhan after the WhatsApp chats were leaked.
In the same screenshot, Dulkhifil’s message read: “It would be great, if we carried out this protest”. He was lauding the suggestion put forward by Sabarinadhan to stage a protest against CM in flight.
It was after examining these leaked messages, police sent notice to Dulkhifil for interrogation. However, he informed his inconvenience to appear on August 13 and requested for another date.
