India's largest political party conspired to put me in prison: Bineesh Kodiyeri
Bengaluru: Bineesh Kodiyeri, who was granted bail earlier this week in the money laundering case, has been released from Jail around 8 pm on Saturday. His release came a year after he was arrested and moved to the Bengaluru Parappana Agrahara jail.
After his release, Bineesh responded to the media that the truth would always prevail. He also said that the ED officials were not questioning him for details that are related to the case. Bineesh alleged that he was put behind bars as he did not agree to the demands of the ED officials to say certain things and some names related to a case in Kerala.
He added that he could have been released from the prison within 10 days if he had given what the investigating officers wanted from him. “This is a fabricated case and the largest political party in India is behind this,” he added. Bineesh also said that he would discuss the whole matter, including the conspiracy behind the case, once he return to Kerala. He will arrive in Kerala on Sunday.
Bineesh’s brother Binoy Kodiyeri and some friends came to receive Bineesh outside the jail. He was granted bail by the Karnataka High Court on Thursday, under the two bail sureties and an amount of Rs 5 lakh.
