In Poonjar, it is a contest against UDF: PC George
Kottayam: Kerala Janapaksham candidate PC George has expressed hope that he will win Poonjar seat with large majority in the upcoming assembly polls. Openly challenging UDF, PC George stated that he is having a tight competition with UDF in Poonjar.
“I don’t have any opponents in Poonjar. There are 9 candidates. The LDF candidate is a Kanjirappally native. UDF candidate is from Kottayam and BDJS candidate is an Ettumanoor native. So, I am the only Poonjar native for the voters here. Naturally, I will win the polls with highest majority. I think I will win the polls with a majority of 35,000 votes," said PC George.
At the same time, he repeated the allegations against the LDF candidate for filing over 200 cheque bounce cases.
“All the accused in the cases are poor people. It is shameful that LDF is fielding a moneylender who is a petitioner in such a large number of cases. CPM and CPI activists should respond to these allegations,” he added.
Attacking the Pinarayi Vijayan government, he mocked the LDF’s plan to retain power in the state. He also criticized the exit polls as cheating.
