Thiruvananthapuram: Police have given a clean chit to LDF convenor EP Jayarajan in the case in which Youth Congress leaders have accused him of attacking them inside a flight.
The incident pertaining to the case happened in June 2022. A spat broke out between Jayarajan and two Youth Congress workers who staged a protest against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inside an Indigo flight. Later, the two Youth Congress workers lodged a police complaint against Jayarajan, claiming he attacked them.
The fresh development on the matter comes after nearly a year. According to the report submitted by police to the court on Thursday, the claims on the complaints are futile. The police have also issued notices to the complainants over the same. The notices said that complainants can approach the court within one week if there are contentions against the report.
Meanwhile, over the scuffle inside the flight, Indigo had barred Jayarajan and two Youth Congress workers from flying with the airline for three weeks and two weeks, respectively.
