Thiruvananthapuram: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted heavy rain and thundershowers at isolated places till November 14 in Kerala. Rainfall is predicted after the low-pressure area over the southwest Bay of Bengal along the northeast Sri Lankan coast turned into a strong depression.
It is likely to move in a northwest direction till the morning of November 12. Following this, it will move towards the Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coast and then change direction and move west-northwestwards over Tamil Nadu-Puducherry and Kerala on November 12 and 13.
Fishing is prohibited in the water near the Kerala-Lakshadweep region on November 12 and 14. However, no restriction on fishing near the Karnataka coast.
